Introduction

Kelly and I have been looking for a lake house for the past year.  Sometime in the late spring we came across this one.  At the time it was priced at $225k which was pretty steep considering there is no bathroom.  It is on a really nice lake but it was just too much considering its condition.  However, it had been on the market for over a year and they had already dropped the price by $75k, so we just watched it for a while.

Mid summer the price dropped to $199k and late summer it dropped to $175k.  The offer story is really long, so I will post the full version later, but we have come to an agreement with the current owners to buy it for $160k!  The inspection has been completed and it is in surprisingly good condition for its age.  We are set to close by 1/31/2017.  There is a ton of work to be done, but it should be fun and we are really looking forward to spending time at the lake!
